I just got my Bushnell 650X4.5" telescope that seems to have major alignment issues. Also when I opened to box and removed the cover to the cavity of the telescope there was 2 black screws rolling around. The mirror does not seem to be effected, but 2 screws rolling around cannot be a good think. When viewing in the telescope the eyepiece seems to miss most of the mirror, so the images are not a circulor sight, but instead I can only see a creasent. Basically it looks like the "Mastercard" symbol and only the overlap section of the two circles views the night sky. My question is: Is there generally this kind of alignment issue with a new scope, of is something drastically wrong and I should just return it to you?

You should not have those types of problems with a new telescope. Problems can sometimes arise sometimes in the shipping of telescopes as they are very heavy and quite delicate. I would suggest contacting the place you bought the telescope and get a return number. If you bought it from us at Opticsplanet, please feel free too e-mail us at sales@opticsplanet.com. We will issue you a return number and exchange your telescope for you. I hope this helps you out. Have a great day! _________________ Thanks for posting with us
