Novice birder viewing waterfowl on my ranch ponds in Pacific Northwest. Need simplicity, durability, and reasonable performance. Is the Bushnell Spacemaster 15-45X60 going to be worth the extra bucks over the Trophy 20-50X50 as a first scope?

Hi

If you were comparing the 20-60x65 Trophy, http://www.opticsplanet.net/bushnell-20-60x65-trophy.html to the 15-45x60 Spacemaster, it would be a better comparison. As much as I like the Spacemaster, I don't think it is significantly better than the larger Trophy. Either is a better choice than smaller, 50mm Trophy. however.
