I am purchasing a new Browning A-Bolt Hunter Micro in 7MM-08 left hand and would like to purchase a new riflescope for it. I will be hunting in somewhat close cover of about 70 yards out to maximum 100 yards. I am looking to spend no more then $200.00 for this rilfe scope as I am dumping all the cash on the rifle. I have had great success with my Nikon Buckmaster 3X9X40 on my .243, but would like to know what is best for the distance I stated. Most shots will be well within the 70 yard range and less. Thank you

Hi Frank

A low power variable , such as a 1.5-6 or similar is your best option. You might even consider a red dot sight such as the Nikon Monarch, http://www.opticsplanet.net/nikon-dot-sight.html or holo sight such as the EOTech 512A65, http://www.opticsplanet.net/eotech-holographic-sight-510.html for those distances.

In a Nikon, try the Nikon Monarch UCC 1.5-4.5x20, http://www.opticsplanet.net/nikon-riflescope-monarch-ucc-1-4x20.html. Another good choice in a low power variable is the Bushnell Elite 3200 1.5-4.5x32 Matte Firefly Riflescope 321546M, http://www.opticsplanet.net/bushnell-riflescope-321546m.html.
