From Garry

I use my telescope to search for asteroids. Due to the low light conditions, would I be able to mount a nightvision scope somehow to my
eyepiece of my telescope to veiw dimmer stars or asteroids?

Hi Garry

Although it might seem logical to add a NV scope on your telescope to see dimmer objects, in practice this would not produce the desired results. NV scopes, even 3rd generation (very expensive), do not have the resolution needed for you to distinguish small objects such as asteroids through a telescope. Your money would be much better spent on a larger aperture telescope. This would allow you too see fainter objects and also provide improved resolution over your present telescope.
