Hi! I am looking for a rangefinder priced in the $200 range. I am a bowhunter by trade and occasionally rifle hunt (if unsuccessful bowhunting). I hunt elk, mule deer, and whitetails in thick brush and varying terrains. I have been considering the Nikon 440 prostaff laser rangefinder as well as the Opti-logic 120XLA laser range finder. I have
looked a little at a few bushnell's too. I have read good and bad reviews about some and am confused as to which route to go...can you help?

If you are bowhunting from a tree stand, a tilt-compenasated rangefinder such as the Opti-Logic 120XTA Tilt-Compensated Range Finder may be all you need. If you want to also measure angles and height, the Opti-Logic 1000LH Laser Range Finder Hypsometer is the way to go, but most of our bowhunters find the Opti-Logic 120XTA Tilt-Compensated Range Finder to be all they need.

For longer distances you will encounter rifle hunting, I'd look at a rangefinder which has some magnification as well as a tilt feature. A good example here would be the Leupold Digital RX-II Rangefinder.
