Hi everyone,
This is the first time im purchasing a telescope for a frends birthday...and i dunno where to start! I wanna spend no more than abt $700 and hope i can get a good telescope within that range. Any suggestions of wat i can get for a first time telescope user/owner? also, wat is the difference between a computerized and an electronic one? Any help will be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Hi
For $700 you will be able to purchase a quality astronomical telescope. The difference between electronic and computerized can mean different things.
If by electronic, you mean motorized, a motorized telescope has a motor attached to the mount which keeps an astronomical object in the eyepiece once you have located it manually with the telescope. A computerized telescope also has a motor, but, in addition, has a computer that will actually move the telescope in the mount to the object you have selected via a hand control.

Now..just another questions in regards to the telescopes mentioned below...would these be compatible with cameras so that im able to take pictures? if so....all i need is a cable? are there only specific brands and types of cameras that work with these telescopes to take pictures?
