We are newly retired and enjoy hiking and observing wildlife. I have done some research on scopes, but the discussions about magnifications, field of view, coated lenses etc. have me confused. We would like to observe wildlife from a distance, get a scope which is rugged and waterproof, view in twilight situations, have ease of focusing, and adapt to attaching a digital camera, and stay under $1000 if possible. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks
