| I was wondering if a scratch on the end of my bushnell velocity Radar gun could effect the readings on it in any way?I was also wondering if other thing could interfiere with it if I was trying to measur how hard someone throws a baseball?I was using the radar gun on someone throwing, one pitch it said 54MPH but it got to the target on a straight line, the next pitch said 61MPH but it made it to the target on an arch. One pitch even read 25MPH and the pitch seemed faster than the previous pitches.I was standing direcltly behind the catcher.Although there was a net there.Does it measure every thing in its range or only the baseball, because I need to know how accurate this really is?It seem accurate when measuring the speed of cars.Any help would be appreciated. |

Hi
A scratch will not affect performance, but standing behind a net definitely will. Do not take readings through a net.
The Bushnell can be used to check speed of any object, but the smaller or faster the target, or the more distant the target, the less effective it performs. It is at its best for larger targets such as vehicles. _________________ ----------------------
