I am looking for a spotting scope to use in my front window. I live on the second story in a house right on the beach in southern california. The scope would almost always be used through a double paned window (usually dirty) and I would be using the scope mostly when the sun is facing the window. I will be looking at boats in the ocean, marine life just offshore and objects on the beach. I am looking at the Nikon 20-60x80 outfit straight scope. Is that a good choice or is there a better option for my use?
hanks in advance.

Hi

The Outfit will work.

When observing through a window, even a clean one, keep in mind that image quality suffers dramatically when viewing at an angle. Reflections caused by the sun may also cause problems. Lastly, the finest spotting scope in the world is only as good as its weakest lens - in your case, the window!
