Bushnell legend better than Elite??

Hi opticplanet!

I'm really confused. Why is the Legend fully multicoated and the Elite 3200 just multicoated? Is Legend really the better scope in the evening?

Hi,

You read right. The Legend is fully multicoated and the 3200 is multicoated. The light transmission figures don't do justice to the clarity and resolution the 3200 gives you. In this case, the Japanese glass is superior to the Phillipines glass. Glass and coatings are what you pay for as well as reliability. The 3200s are comparable to offerings from the best American manufacturers, and rarely fail. You get what you pay for.
