What scope to buy for 338 Mag?

Looking for some scope advice!
I am looking to buy a new scope for a savage 338 mag. I will be using it for whitetails in Mn (yes, I know its to big for whitetailes) however I dont want to buy a new gun. I do have some long shooting (farm fields) and hope to elk hunt someday. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Cram,

No, a 338 is not too big for whitetails if you shoot it well and you use proper projectiles. Proper meaning premium, controlled expansion bullets such as a Nosler Partition, Trophy Bonded, Fail Safe, etc.
