Hello was wondering how the nikon monarch 3-9x40 compares to the new bushnell elite 4200 3-9x40. I know the monarch has a godd rep as does the elite 4200. From what I have read the elite series is favored over the monarch optically and was wondering if this holds true for the new elite 4200 3-9x40.
thanks!

It almost feels blasphemous choosing a Bushnell over a Nikon, but the 3200s and 4200s are simply great. The 4200s in particular are very bright and clear with great resolution, and returns are nil. To be fair, the Monarchs are also really good scopes, but in a side by side comparison I think the 4200 http://www.opticsplanet.net/bushnell-elite-4200-3-9x40-matte-riflescopes-423944m.html edges out the picture of the Monarchs http://www.opticsplanet.net/nikon-riflescope-monarch-ucc-3-9x40.html . That being said, you can't go wrong with either one. Both are bright and durable and repeatable. _________________ Aim Hard!
