i'm not sure whether to buy a spotting scope or a telescope (for land view) equipment. ( i no NOTHING about these things lol ). this is what i'll be using it for:
mostly i will be at the Yosemite floor looking upwards at El Capitan in Yosemite National Park viewing rock climbers. if i remember right, the elevation of the rock is 3,600 feet high. i'd like to get a real good close up on the climbers, possibly even as close as their faces... i'd like to be able to use a digital camera to take photo's of them (if that is possible). i've been looking at the Meade ETX 125 (?)model. would this work for what i want to do ? or should i be looking at a high quality spotting scope like Ziess:

Hi
An ETX-125 would be an excellent choice for a telescope that can be used by day or by night if you add the appropriate eyepieces and accessories. _________________ ----------------------
