I just bought a Holosight XLP, the newest version that takes AAA batteries. I actually mounted it on my shotgun today. When looking at the crosshair reticle, can you sometimes see a little red glare inside the viewing range? It seems like I'm seeing a little reflection from the reticle...maybe it just works that way. Mind you I was looking through it in low light conditions.

For instance, I'll see the crosshairs fine in my view. Directly above the crosshair will be a real faint 1/2 of an image crosshair. Its almost like theres some reflection going on. It's not terribly obtrusive, but more annoying. Thats the best I can explain it.

Any users of this scope, could I have your input on this model and the quirks that go with it.

I'm wondering if the red glare above the crosshair is due to the hood??

Return that sight and buy and eotech. You will be much happier in the long run.
