For $700 or less, what is the best hunting riflescope? I'll be placing this on a 7mm mag. I would like at least 14X magnification.
With that preference stated, my primary concerns are with resolution
and low light performance.
As of right now, I am checking out the Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14-44, the
Leupold VX-III(with 30mm lens) 4.5-14-50, and the Burris Black Diamond
4-16-50. I've looked through all three and the Zeiss appears to me to
be the clearest and brightest, despite only having a 44mm lens and a
one inch tube. My concern is that I'm wrong in this assessment and
that one of the other scopes mentioned may be clearer and pick up more
light. Is it possible that the Zeiss lens is so much better that it
overcomes the smaller tube and smaller lens?
Am I correct that the three scopes mentioned are the best, under $700?
What scope do you feel is the best? |
