Capabilities of rangefinders

I am interested in purchasing a range finder. I read that the bushnell
pinseeker may be the best. My purpose of using a range finder is to
determine the distance of hazzards not just the flag. Are there
rangefinders out there that have that capabilitiy or is GPS the only
option? Are there rangefinders that you recommend, i.e. best value?

Hi

The Bushnell Pinseeker can be used to find the distance to any kind of target, not just the flag. It's currently one of the best golf rangefinder available.
