Antique Carl Zeiss Binoculars?

I would do a GOOGLE search, not for that exact [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/binoculars.html]binocular[/link], necessarily, but for a collector who handles that vintage and start there. Sorry, we don't really get much action on collectibles on this forum. We're really about current [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/binoculars.html]binoculars[/link].

i just bought an old pair of binos at a yard sale, after looking all over it i found very faint etchings with the manufacturer and model number, im wondering how to find out more about them the markings are :voigtlander underneath that braunschweig and under that model no 62810 any info is appreciated!

If the serial number is anywhere on these glasses, you can easily find out when they were made. Look up http://www.europa.com/~telscope/binotele.htm
and scroll down to [url=http://www.opticsplanet.com/zeiss-brand.html]Zeiss[/url] cumulative production numbers to date your [url=http://www.opticsplanet.com/binoculars.html]binoculars[/url].
There is a wealth of background on [url=http://www.opticsplanet.com/zeiss-brand.html]Zeiss[/url] products, both here and from the [url=http://www.opticsplanet.com/zeiss-brand.html]Zeiss[/url] Historical Society, so you should be able to find the information you are looking for.
