Whoops, I was referring to the [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/swift-brand.html]Swift[/link] Reliant Roof since they are PC, FMC, Bak 4 and appeared to be close to the porro legend, but thanks for the great info on both the roof and porro reliants. Looks like the porro legend will be my choice.

If you are referring to the [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/swift-brand.html]Swift[/link] Reliant porro, there are two issues; one, they are not Bak4 and two, like all Reliants, the warranty is only five years. Porros must be Bak4 to get you the best [link=http://www.OpticsPlanet.Com]optics[/link]. The Legend porro is only a little more and a better value in terms of cost/features

If you are referring to the Reliant roof, you still have the issue of the warranty and you still get better [link=http://www.OpticsPlanet.Com]optics[/link] for the dollar with a porro such as the Legend. Only thing you gain with the roof, at this price, is nicer handling.

Unfortunately, I'm on a limited budget for [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/binoculars.html]binoculars[/link] that will be used for birding. I can't seem to find any reviews of the [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/swift-brand.html]Swift[/link] Reliant or its name mentioned along with the other $100 [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/binoculars.html]binoculars[/link]. Is there anything you don't like about them? It looks like the porro legends are a great birding [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/binoculars.html]binocular[/link] to get at this price range, but I was wondering if the Reliants matched up optically with the porro legends. I don't mind buying a roof or porro [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/binoculars.html]binocular[/link] and have read about the pros and cons of both. Thanks in advance.
