The Ecobin wins in terms of
optics, but handling typically favors a roof like the Trophy, though some folks do prefer a reverse porro, here, in a compact.
A roof, like the Trophy, in order to even compete with a good porro like the Ecobins, would have to be at least phase-corrected, like the
Bushnell Excursion or Legend. The Trophy is not phase-corrected. If you want
optics more comparable to the Ecobins, you would need to upgrade to the Legend or Excursion series and, even then, I'd still give a slight edge to the Ecobins. Be almost impossible to beat the Ecobins for the bang for the buck in terms of
