Kowa Prominar Binocs

Great binos right up there with the Euro stuff as far as [link=http://www.OpticsPlanet.Com]optics[/link]. The only negative and the only thing that has kept them from competing more with [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/zeiss-brand.html]Zeiss[/link], [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/swarovski-brand.html]Swarovski[/link] and [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/leica-brand.html]Leica[/link] has been the weight. 33 oz is on a par with the weight of binos back in the 90s, but most of the high end stuff with 42 or 44 mm objectives is under 30 oz these days. Otherwise a [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/binoculars.html]binocular[/link] that deserves a look.

What's the consensus on the [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/kowa-brand.html]Kowa[/link] Genesis Prominar 8.5x44 and the 10.5x44 binocs. What are they comparable to optically? Thanks.
