Hi

You really can't make a mistake with any of them and, to be honest, all are in the same ball park, more or less, when it comes to optics. For me, at least, it would come down to the other factors that you mention. Optically, though, I like the Genesis, but since this is a hunting bino, why not go with the Leupold? Great name in hunting, after all, and it is the only bino assembled right here in the US.

Hunting Bino Gift

My nephew is graduating and I'm going to spring for a new hunting bino for him, probably a 10x42 model. I've got $1200 budgeted and am considering:

1. Kowa Genesis
2. Meopta
3. Swaro SLC neu (demo)
4. Leupold GR HD

I'm not concerned with weight, FOV, or ergonomics really. Just looking for the best optics in this bunch. I've got a pair of GR HD now and they are fantastic, but don't know how the others compare. Thanks.
