Okay, yes, I understand.
There is some give and take on published fields of view as far as effective or actual field of view. Distortion and lack of sharpness, especially on wide-angle models tends to reduce the effective field of view. Still, for an 8x binocular, 325-350 is plenty for any application. What really counts is the central 60-70% of the field, though I do tend to be fussy about edge sharpness, myself.
