I got a Pentax 9x32 DCF BC and it is very good. Body, quality, etc. Quite pricey but worth it.

Hi

Best value is going to be a porro prism, such as the Nikon Action 8x40, or, if you plan to do a lot of astronomy, the Nikon Action 10x50. I'd try to move up to the waterproof and fog proof Nikon Action Extreme, though, and the Extreme also has better eye relief and nicer eyecups. I know a lot of folks that use the Nikon AE 10x50 as an astronomy binocular and it will also do most anything you want for day work.

I'm looking for a versatile binocular that can handle most tasks well like astronomy, bird watching, speculating, etc. I want one that is built for stability, long distance, clarity, durability, and cost effective. I'm very new to these stuff so get me in it. What are some of the best brands? What should I look for? What would you get for my requirements? Can you recommend me some models?If you strongly recommend spending more than $100, feel free to recommend me. Thanks for the help.
