Hi

I would do a GOOGLE search, not for that exact binocular, necessarily, but for a collector who handles that vintage and start there. Sorry, we don't really get much action on collectibles on this forum. We're really about current binoculars.

Hi

That's because the old Jena's are not truly Carl Zeiss. Carl Zeiss and Zeiss Jena have been historically two different organizations and quite different binoculars. Carl Zeiss has purchased Zeiss Jean, recently, but if your binos are old, they are either Carl Zeiss or Zeiss Jena, not both. Try a search on Zeiss Jena

Hi,
If the serial number is anywhere on these glasses, you can easily find out when they were made. Look up http://www.europa.com/~telscope/binotele.htm
and scroll down to Zeiss cumulative production numbers to date your binoculars.
There is a wealth of background on Zeiss products, both here and from the Zeiss Historical Society, so you should be able to find the information you are looking for.
