The MPO designation means it is a holographic weapon sight PAIRED with a G23 magnifier in one package.

So the MPO II and MPO III do not mean anything other than a newer model or version?

The EXPS3 has night vision capabilities via a third button. When this button is pressed the reticle is not able to be seen with the naked eye, but through the thousands of times the night vision unit amplifies light it is viewable. The reticle is too bright without NV cababilities and will drown out any sight picture, and sometimes even shut the NV unit off to protect the tube from burnout.
