Hello,

Those terms are usued interchangeably by Ray-Ban and they all refer to the same tint, smoke green.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need anything else. 8)

Hello,

The Ray-Ban RB4179 Sunglasses is offered with polycarbonate lenses. Glass is called Crystal. The only polarized options in the RB4179 are the following:
RB4179-601S9A-6213: Black Frame with Polarized G15 Green lenses
RB4179-881-83-6213: Matte Brown with Polarized B15 Brown lenses
and the RB-SG-RB4179-882-82-6213: Matte Military Green with Polarized Gray and Silver Mirror coating

I was looking online at the Ray Ban RB3025 112/19 aviators in the crystal green mirror lens color. It says that they are flash lenses. I was wondering what that means and how that is different from polarized lenses.

A question on the lenses available for RB4179. Are they available with "Crystal Green Polarized" lens? Or just the "Green" lens? How much of a difference between them?
Thanks in advance

The RB3025-L0205 comes with the ARISTA (Gold) Frame and the CRYSTAL GREEN (G15 Glass) lenses and is only offered in 58mm.
The RB3025-001 come with the ARISTA (Gold) Frame and the CRYSTAL GREEN (G15 Glass) lenses and is only offered in 62mm.
Same frame, lens color and material but in different sizes. There is even a 62mm Polarized option. Look for the RB3025-001/58
ARISTA CRYSTAL GREEN (G15) POLARIZED!

The RB3026-L2846-6214 is the same shape and size but limited only 2 frame color options, black and arista (gold).

I hope that helps you out.

Hi, i have a couple of questions if anyone could answer. I love the rb3025 l0205 but i see it comes only in 58mm and i have kind of a big head so I need the 62mm. So does the rb3025 l0205 come in 62mm? What is the difference between rb3025 l0205 and rb3025 001? Are the lenses the same, like the same color, shade of green, type? What's the difference between rb3025 l0205 and rb3026 l2846(again the lenses, shade)? Basically I'm asking if there are sunglasses that the same type and shade of green, the same frame type and color as rb3025 l0205 but in 62mm size?
Thanks

There are 6 polarized options available in the Ray-Ban New Wayfarer Sunglasses RB2132 line. However the rubber models are not among them. We can offer custom made lenses in the rubber frame. Email us at eyewear@opticsplanet.com. We can get you a quote.

Thank you for your reply. While tumbling around internet just now, i found this on the web http://www.luxottica.com/export/sites/d ... ASE_EN.pdf

They do mentioned about P3 plus polarized lens for CL tech glasses. Any idea with this model? It looks like RB8305 or RB8306 though. I wanted to know badly, hope u can help me...thanks

Thank you for your post. The Ray-Ban RB4188 Sunglasses is available in polycarbonate only. The Ray-Ban Cl Carbon Lite Sunglasses RB8305 are also made from polycarbonate due to their exposed and drill mounted design. Glass cannot be drilled in such a way.

I hope this helps.

Hi, i am confused about this glass

http://www.opticsplanet.com/ray-ban-rb4 ... asses.html

Can u tell me what lens it has? glass/plastic? and if it's a polarized lens is it made up from glass or higher chance of being a plastic type.

I am fond with glass lens and I recently came into mind with ray ban tech glasses. Are all polarized tech glasses made up from glass lens? Can you check the model RB8305 for me?

Your help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Hello Gus,

It seems as though you have the Ray-Ban New Wayfarer Sunglasses RB2132 with the Tortoise Frame and Green G15 Crystal Lens. To test if they are polarized you can hold the frame in front of your computer screen and rotate them. If the lenses black out they are polarized.

I hope that helps.

Hi I just have a question, I recently bought a pair of Ray-Bans and I'm not sure what it is that I have now after reading all of these posts, could someone enlighten me as to what type of lenses I have? The model on the [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/rx-eyeglasses.html]glasses[/link] is RB2132 NEW WAYFARER 902◘18 3N, thank you.

Hello,

Great questions. Polarized lenses are normally darker than non-polarized lenses. the presence of the filter darkens the lens about 10 to 15%. The polarized G-15 with be a deep dark green almost gray looking. The Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer Sunglasses, Black Frame with Glass (crystal) G15 Polarized Lenses are in stock and ready to ship in both sizes 50mm and 54mm.

I hope this helps.

I am interested in getting a pair of ray bans 2140's however, like most on this discussion am undecided on what lens to order. I really like the black frame/dark lens look. I am considering polarized due to the fact that I do a lot of driving and have heard positive reviews. However, I also hear that polarized lenses are not as dark of a lens (outsiders can see your eyes). Also, I have read this thread and earned that the G15 are a grey/green, but how green are they? My question is, which lens would meet my requirements of having that traditional look of black frame/black lenses? Is this combo available in a polarized lens? Thank you for your help!!!

Thank you for the post. The Ray-Ban Aviator Large Metal Sunglasses RB3025 has a 135mm temple arm for both the 55mm and the 58mm lens sizes. The 62mm has a 140mm temple arm.

We have several in stock. Give them a try.

A little off topic, but this is a good ray ban thread.
Do all large metal aviators have the same arm length? If not, how do you tell what length you are getting?
Thanks!
