I'm shopping for a new pair of sunglasses
but repeatedly for some pairs that I've tried in store, I noticed that when I look at the overhead ceiling lights, there appears a faint double image of the light usually on either side of it. On some sunglasses
(like Oakleys) I noticed the effect to me more visible. On other I've tried like Maui Jim, it is very faint. My current pair of Serengeti
's that I purchased many years ago do not exhibit this effect. I tried on Persol's and they do not as well. Can anyone comment on this? WHy does this occur, does it mean the lens is poor quality?
I know its not my eyes because the sales associate confirmed the effect by trying the sunglasses
on as well and they can see it.
Its actually preventing me from buying a pair until I figure out if it has to do with quality of the lens or not.
I'm only concerned with glass lenses.
