This universal drop leg holster from Leapers might due the trick for you. Not too much else can take a thick N frame. This model is fairly adjustable. I used a general fitting Leapers vertical shoulder system for a large 44 on a backpacking trip (not as I had my pack on though) in September and it worked well for me.

I am looking for a left hand drop leg holster for my 329pd 4in 44mag. Does anyone make one to fit it? If not I am looking for something to carry while hunting carring a backpack that wont get in the way.
