Post by Stan @ Opticsplanet on Tue Apr 13, 2004 10:40 am

Dear Brian,
Thank you for your interest in We have many telescopes available,, from beginner to advanced.

If you want to keep the price below $200, I would recommend the following:, Celestron 76EQ, ... axsee.html, Tasco Galaxsee.

If you would like something with a GoTo computer that's a little more expensive, look at: ... -comp.html, Bushnell Northstar 4.5",, Meade ETX 70,, Celestron 80GT.

For an easy to use intermediate telescope that will last for many years:, Celestron 130GT,, Meade ETX 90.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.
I hope this information has been helpful. Good Luck.

:?: Sir,
I have been interested in astronomy for many years.I have an old telescope that is old and wore out.I would like to purchase a new one at a reasonable cost.Something not overly difficult to use.
My old telescope was ok,but I noticed that the more distant object that I looked at the less light I would recieve and the less useful my scope was.
I would like to avoid this problem if at all possible with the new model.
What do you recommend model and size wise??
