If you want to explore astrophotography, you are going to need to choose a computerized or at least motorized telescope. Try a Celestron C8-S-GT

For a through discussion of the basics, be sure to review our article, first, at How to choose the right telescope (good info on what all the numbers mean)

By the way, astrophotography is a sophisticated and challenging form of photography which requires that you first know the basics of both telescope operation and astronomy. I strongly suggest you go slowly, here. For the basics on astrophotography, see my short article, Astrophotography in a nutshell

I've wanted to purchase a telescope for years but wasn't sure just would be the best investment. I'd like to just too be able to see the plants and stars with good clarity. I'd also wanted to purchase a camera too attach too my scope to take pictures on my laptop computer.

What telescope and accessories could someone suggest. I plann to spend no more than 2 grand for my set up. Any good advise will be greatly appreciated. :?:
