Just thought I'd come back and add a message that might help anyone still looking for an updated or improved Northstar manual. It appears that
Bushnell recognized the need, and put a new, more "user friendly" manual on their website at some point (March?)

telescope- new version explains the steps using one of the bright stars in the Big Dipper (a diagram with their names labeled is included).
