Hi

Telescope size, in terms of the diameter of the lens or mirror, is the main factor in telescope performance. If you want to see more, go with the larger 130EQ. It's a reflector, but that should not be any serious issue in terms of ease of use for astronomy.

Trying to decide between Astromaster 90 EQ and 130 EQ. I have seen some recommendations for the 130 EQ but when I read the reviews it seems that the 90 EQ was easier to use. This will be a gift for an adult. This will be her first telescope, we have soem light pollution but not much ususally the sky is full of stars that we can see with the naked eye. My budget is around $200 so f there are other telescopes that you would recommend I would be happy to hear that too

Thanks

Elaine
