Will need to go to the 07085 if you are using 2" stuff.

I already have the piece you recomend. It is for 1.25 inch. The diagonal that came with the scope fits in it. I need something to attach a 2" diagonal to the back of the scope. Is there a larger one for 2"?

Not sure who told you that, but on that scope you will need a visual back (eyepiece holder), such as the Meade 07182. Just unthread you present diagonal, thread on the visula back, insert the 5000 and you're good to go.

A recently purchased a meade series 5000 2" diagonal for my LX90 acf scope. The person I talked with said it would attach directly to the back of the scope without an adapter. I can't seem to get it to attach. It looks like I need some type of male to female adapter. Am I doing something wrong? The only way it looks like it would attach is if I removed the piece at the back of the scope were the housing for the 1.25 diagonal attaches. That appears to be solid piece that can not be removed.
