Celestron Ultima 65 or 80?

I would opt for he Ultima 80 on this matchup. You could get away with a 65mm scope if it had ED or HD, but not going to find one at this price. The Ultima 80 is going to give you more of a margin for error. Won't be quite as stable or handy on a shooter's tripod as a 65, but not too bad. The Ultima 80 is not all that heavy as 80 mm scopes go.

Really won't do better for the price than the Ultima. I'd also advise taking along some splatter style targets for days when the seeing conditions aren't that good.

I am in need of a spotting scope for rifle range use out to 200 yards.
1. I am leaning towards the 45 degree model (any reason that I shouldn't be?)
2. Would the Celestion Ultima 65 be enough or would the 80 be significantly better? It will need to be mounted on a tripod.
3. Is there another brand/model that I should consider over the Ultima in this price range? I am not taking pictures or anything so optical quality/color is not a major concern as long as I can see .223 caliber holes at 200 yards.
