I don't know if this is really what your looking for, but there are ski goggles that have a HUD.

Ghost Recon

I know this seems far fetched to many people, but I work for a military contracts corporation that deals in communications systems for UAV's and other things. I'm working on a pet project that could go far to help our soldiers (am one myself) in combat. If you've played the game Ghost Recon - Advanced WarFighter, you know about the eyewear that is featured. We make a similar product, but it's just not what I believe is capable with todays technology. I've heard of glasses that have a polymer or coating that can allow transparency, and act as a HUD of sorts...does anyone know what I'm talking about?
