Brunton Impel 2 Portable Power

So with Solaris62 and an Impel2 AND a charge regulator, IF I purchase an inverter, what size should IT be? I have ordered the rest, ascertaining that I can charge the Impel2, charge the laptop from it via USB, or perhaps run it directly from solar collector through charge regulator(?) and use the Impel2 for other items. I like that I can charge car [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/batteries.html]batteries[/link] with the Solaris62. What would I hook to the charge car [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/batteries.html]batteries[/link] to invert the charge? Sorry but I am a medical professional, not an electrical engineer (which one almost seems to require to convert and invert electrical power off grid these days).

The Impel2 is designed to work in tandem with the Solaris panels and connects directly to it. No regulator should be required and the Imple2 should be able to power a 12V inverter. the only real difference between the Sustain2 and the Imple2 is the [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/batteries.html]battery[/link] storage. The connection is standard female USB and comes with all necessary cables.

I want to use it to mainly charge my iPhone but still want the flexibility to charge and operate other devices as well. I was looking to buy the [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/brunton-brand.html]Brunton[/link] impel 2 portable power pack but have some questions on it.

1. Is the impel2 compatible with my [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/brunton-brand.html]Brunton[/link] solaris 12 (will it connect directly to it)?
2. Are there direct connections from the solar panel to the impel2 or do I have to run that through a voltage regulator as well?
3. Will the impel2 power a DC->AC inverter (12v)?
4. Is the other differences between the impel2 and the sustain2 other then the amount of [link=http://www.opticsplanet.com/batteries.html]battery[/link] life?
5. What is the USB output on the impel2/sustain2? Standard female USB?
6. What cables does it come with?
