It could be caused by the pressure on the temples. If the pain did not go away even after the adjustment, the eyeglasses frame might be just too small for you. Next time try to go with a larger frame. Take a look at the lens size and bridge measurement on your old eyeglasses for comparison (they are usually marked on the inside of one of the arms, in there is a picture in the previous post).

Also, if you like the frame, but it sits to tight; check with an optician if they have the same frame in a larger size. Some eyeglasses manufacturers make same model in two or three sizes. Good example will be Ray-Ban eyeglasses, DKNY eyeglasses, etc.

Pain caused by plastic frames

I'm interested in getting a pair of plastic spectacles, but with the previous one I had, a severe pain developed in the back of my head simply after wearing it for 5mins.

My previous optician believed it was caused by pressure on the temples, and loosened the sides but it got even more severe?! Can someone tell me what causes this and if it's a common issue with all plastic frames? Thanks
