harrymack, sorry to hear that! Unfortunately, since we do not sell parts for neither of those brands your best bet will be to call the manufacturer to get the correct replacement parts. With rimless frames you have to be careful in not changing too from their original to avoid stress marks on your lenses.

Just broke the bridge for the second time on my Swissflex frame. Bought the frame in New Orleans but just moved to Portland, OR. Looking for a retailer in the area so I can get a new bridge or another frame that can accommodate my $600 lenses. Might have to go back to Silhouette frames which worked in the past. The only issue with them is that the temples are not durable. If you have a better solution for rimless lenses please reply!

Thank you for posting and I am sorry for the issues you're having. You should contact them directly and explain your frustration. they have aright to know how their consumers feel.

I hope this helps.

I have replaced the nose bridge and the side ear piece connector at a cost of $90 each time and now they are broken again. The most upsetting thing is Swiss Flex will not work with you directly you have to go back to the store and they send them out to Swiss Flex for the repair. This is cumbersome and I am sure more expensive. The glasses are nice but not worth the money. They should be fixing the problem on new pairs and also repair the sold units with better parts and for a reasonable price. Not a very good company!!

happen to me too, snapped at the bridge. Glued it with two-part epoxy and worked fine. But then one of the lenses turned yellow. Oh well. Liked them but they are not durable.

The manufacturer should hear how you feel. This is valuable information.

I had a similar experience involving the stem. It popped off and I lost one of them. It cost $90.00 to replace. Ripoff is a mild word to describe this outrageous thievery. I paid $800 for the glasses. I loved them but never again. I expect more than 3 years wear. I am a grandma and treat my things with great care. The stem popped off into my eyeglass case. Where the stem is is a total mystery. The public should be warned about this.

Which model is giving you troubles? Did you buy it from OpticsPlanet? If so, what's your order number? I will see what we can do to help you.

What a rip off! I love the glasses, but the nylon weld on the nose bridge just popped off on mine with easy use. $100 bucks to fix a dollar part is absurd!

I am so sorry to hear that, actually even see it since they do look like such a nice pair of eyeglasses. Most of the time you do have to be really careful with rimless frames since they can tend to be a lot more fragile since there is no really stong support to them, just the bridge. I have come across the Ray-Ban Eyeglass Frames RX8402 which seems like such a sturdy and light weight pair from Ray-Ban. We have some employees here that have ordered these and they are extremly satisfied with them. Let us know what you think!

My pair of Swissflex glasses snapped at the bridge while I was cleaning the lenses

I have blogged about it here and posted a photo to show what happened:

Has anyone else had any experience of a similar thing happening to Swissflex or any other brand? I'd like to be sure the next pair of specs I buy are still light in weight but hopefully not as delicate, any suggestions welcome.
