I have this tripod and I have had no problems with it. I've had a 400mm f5.6 lens mounted on a D1X. Mind you, I swapped heads for a newer manfroto one.

Hi

That would be hard to say without seeing your current tripod. We have no information on old Velbons or load capacity on Velbon tripods.

Contact Velbon at 973-428-9800 or visit their website at http://www.velbon-tripod.com/

Velbon tripod

I have a 20+ yr old velbon VGB 3 #2627810 tripod and I would like to know if it can handle having a wimberley or jubo head on it along with my Nikon D50 with a 300mm afs F4 lens and 1.4 TC attached.
