The only difference between
monocular compound microscope to
binocular microscope is the fact that you can use both eyes with a binocular microscope when you are looking at the subject, and with a monocular microscope you can only look at the sample with one eye.
Binocular microscopes have two
microscope objectives, and monocular microscopes have just one.
