Hi

A built-in light is the best option in terms of ease of use and effectiveness, if it is a real light, as in the Celestron 4050 not the little light supplied on some kids microscopes, such as Meade 8200 Microscope for School Students & Kids. Those are all but useless.

Which is best for an 8 year old to begin? My husband says the lightbulb would be best as my son will not have to angle mirror for best light source
