Hi

Total magnification with the 10x eyepiece is 20x. That's enough to observe some plankton, but you will be limited.

For a more versatile model, try the LOMO SF-50 Stereo Microscopes or LOMO SF-100 Stereo Microscope (MBC-10).

I would like to observe plankton and noticed that my high powered microscope is to powerful at 100x plus.I was thinking this model you sell might work well but i was concerned it might not be enough power. Is it a total of 10x or does it magnify more?Thank you.
