Hi

I checked with LOMO on this and thier technician suggests taking the rack and pinion mechanism apart (simple operation), then cleaning and removing the factory grease. Regrease with a medium grade damping grease of good quality. He said it won't totally eliminate the play, but it will be a big improvement.

Hi, thanks for the reply about filters on lomo microscopes.
I have another question .
The focussing on the substagecondenser has a fair deal of backlash. is there any way to sort it (that I could do at home)
Thanks for any replies.
