With that scope and rifle combination you should be fine with high rings. The only other variable would be if you have a bull barrel. If so, I would go with the extra high rings. If not, stick with the high. That should give you adequate clearance for the objective and the flip cover.

i have just recently purchased a Savage 110 BA and a Bushnell Elite 6500 scope that has a 50mm objective, and i would like to get some flip covers for my scope. will high rings be high enough to clear both the scope and cover or would i have to go for extra high? thanks very much in advance
