You will need to go with a AR mount or a extra high mount to get the correct optical center at 1.5''. The Burris PEPR mount would be a good choice and still allow you to keep your irons folded under. The PEPR comes in a quick detach model as well if you are in the need to transition from the scope to your BUIS in a hurry.

I have a Colt LE6950MP-B with Magpul flip up rear sight. I plan to buy a scope (probably Nikon M-223). I believe that I will need a mount riser so that I can leave the rear iron sight on the rifle. Any suggestions to the height required? Thanks in advance
