Pocket Camera - Inexpensive

That is always going to be an issue with any small digital point and shoot. If you have active, moving subjects, you really need to move up to the larger cameras with larger lenses, as found on a DSLR. No small point and shoot is a good choice for that work.

I would need something that had a quick snap time. I have kids and they don't sit for long at all. Most of the ones that are cheap or are small have a long shutter speed and I can't get the photo I want. can you tell me about that. Thanks for the other info. I have been looking just for that exact onfo on that thing.

You know what? If you're looking for a cheap but great quality pocket camera I'd say go with the Cannon Ixus 110. Had that and my EOS450 with me on my honeymoon around Europe and the results are pretty damn good! 12mp, 3 inch display and cheap price are great reasons to consider the IXUS110

I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive camera that I can keep in my pocket for every day carry. The most important thing for me is that it has to be small and light so that I'll have it with me every day. If it's too big/bulky, I'll probably end up leaving it at home and that will defeat the purpose.

It would be used basically as a point and shoot for basic non professional uses out and about. Nothing fancy, but reliable and something that is well made.
