Quality, especially lens quality, counts for more than pixels.

Brunton spotting scope & camera match

Post by trplduece on Sat Mar 17, 2012 10:53 am

Greetings...

I purchased a Brunton Eterna 20-60 X 80mm angled scope & also an Alpen 706 camera adapter for digiscoping. I'm using these with a Vantage Pro Alta+ 263AGH tripod with a pistol grip handle. Now that I have all of the basics, I need a camera to go with it. Any suggestions? I know I need to go with a 4 or 5 x zoom but I don't know if that means a 4x optical, 5x digital camera like the Nikon Coolpix S3100 or what. Help is appreciated.

Larry
