Camera recommendation for product photography

If you are planning to do this commercially, you won't have a choice. If you want to compete, you have to keep up with other people in the business and they don't use cheap equipment.

If you are serious about commercial photography, a minimum would be a digital [b]SLR camera[/b] and a good [b]macro lens[/b], 1:2 or 1:1. This won't come cheap. For a "prosumer" camera such as the [b]Canon 20D[/b] or [b]Nikon 100D[/b] body, expect to pay between $1500-2000. A truly good macro lens will cost as much, but you can get something reasonable for slightly less.

I am looking for a good camera to use for product photography. The items to be photographed are quite small, fashion accessories to be precise. Can you recommend a good camera for this purpose for a reasonable amount of money. I am not a photograher either so I would need something that is relatively easy to use.
