For overall build quality and comfort to wear, I like the Bushnell 1x20 Tactical Monocular Goggle. This unit is super quick and easy to adjust and has about as good an optical quality as generation 1 night vision has to offer. This has a built in IR illuminator for navigation and close-in work, and you can always purchase a more powerful handheld IR flashlight separately. There is no magnification option for this unit, but if you're using it as a hands free goggle, you do not want magnification. It would be like walking in the woods while looking through a normal pair of binoculars and would be very likely that you would trip on something.

Monocular goggle, recommendations?

I've decided I'll be getting a monocular, since I'll probably need to keep an eye on the natural light all the time...I just thought I'd see if anyone had any preferences, based on my budget of up to around $300-400 USD. (although I'd go higher for something worth it.)

Things that I'm interested in are mainly decent IR illuminators, and optional magnification..

Thanks all
