Sir, did you ever comparing between pentagon and ATN 450mW ?
i have ATN but curiously to try more power.
in the field i could not see more than 30-40 yards (for identifation).

how far and wider pentagon's IR can light up the area ?

Sounds like a fun project, but I find it easier to just buy one outright. I bought the one from Pentagonlight and it works great. A friend has a high power model from ATN and it is really powerful, too. Here's the one that I use

hi, experts

i found that IR illuminator a big help for NV.
will the higher power IR illuminator make a longer viewing or just make it brighter ?
i need longest and wider viewing as possible.
i'm planning to build DIY IR illuminator with 3W or 5W power.
DIY = do it yourself.

plase, i need advices from anybody with experiences on this.
